Latest News and Happenings July 9th, 2009 - Hey guys, as you can see, we don't keep up with our own website very well. We are hoping to do so in the future because if we don't, our new manager will shoot us. Just kidding. That being said, we would like to welcome aboard Shane Carlile as our new manager. We will be introducing him to you on the July 18th show in Waxahachie. Hope to see all of you there. Now for what is the latest. We just completed a 3 week tour. Our first tour. There were many struggles, trials and disappointments along the way but God was faithful and provided all the way. We want to give a special shout out to Gene Barber for all of his support and trying to pick up the pieces where so many people failed. No hard feelings and we learned that no matter what, we have to place our trust in God and not in man. So, with all of that said, some of the things we mentioned a year ago are going to finally be put into motion in the near future. No dates yet but we will be posting them soon. Also be looking for a new look on the web site. Until then, we encourage you to stay in touch with us through our email or our myspace page. We love you all and hope to see you all in person very soon. Until then, God bless. June 26th, 2008- We have the new t-shirts and necklaces and we will be getting those posted here on our store page in the near future. Until then you can go to our myspace page to see what they look like. We are also working on a design for the street team t-shirts that will only be available to those that are on the street team. Speaking of street team, we will have that page up and running in the near future. We are still learning how to manipulate our own website and if you are ever up late at night you may be looking at our page and see some funny changes that are only there for a moment. That is because we are learning this HTML stuff by trial and error. So if you are up for some late night entertainment, come visit the web site in the middle of the night and maybe, just maybe you will catch us in the middle of posting a mistake only to remove it until we figure it out. So, thanks for being patient with us and we will get this all up and running soon. Hope to see you at one of the upcoming shows. May 4th, 2008- It has been quite some time since we have made any changes or posted any updates to the web site and for that we are sincerely apologetic. There have been many things that have taken place since the last update of 6 months ago. We have added a new bass player (Byron Robertson) and JJ Keenan has returned as a second guitarist now making us a 5 piece band. We have started playing shows again and those that have heard us before say the sound is so much thicker if you can imagine that. We have been writing new material and are still writing new material and in the process of sending it off to a producer for pre-production. We will speak more of that at a later time. We are also going to be posting new band pics as well as posting new t-shirt designs, a new necklace and more merchandise that will be available for you to order either from here or our myspace page. As mentioned before, we are booking shows again so we hope to see you in the near future. Once again we apologize for not having more updates here on the web site in a timely manner and we promise to do a better job of keeping you informed. Oh, also be looking for the street team page to be active as well as new videos from shows, recording sessions and all sorts of things in the personal and not-so-personal lives of the boys from the band. We love you all and hope to see you soon. Nov. 14, 2007- Just wanted to let everyone know that we are still writting new material and in the planning stages of hitting the studio again. Not sure of the exact date but we are hoping for next April. We are still looking for a bassist and possibly adding a second guitarist so if you are interested, please send us a message and let us know. You can either e-mail Brad at brad@shatterme.com or you can send us a message on our myspace page. We really are looking forward to what the future holds and are very excited about the direction our music is going. We hope and pray when this "time off" is over, you will not see the same Shatter Me of old, however you will see something different in us and we are not talking about just musically. We are also going to be working on a new design for the new Shatter Me t-shirts and if you want to be involved in helping us come up with something please let us know. We would love to hear your ideas. Just keep it in the same context as the web site and get it to us. Once again, please keep us in prayer while we are still looking for a bassist as well as keeping our eyes focused on what God wants us to do. As usual, if you have a prayer request or just need someone to talk to, let us know that as well. We love hearing from you and want to know that you are okay. God bless you and we will see you again real soon. Oct. 31,2007- Shatter Me is taking some time off from playing shows. Don't worry, we are not breaking up. Just want to make that clear right now. We have been very busy with alot of different things and after alot of prayer we felt that we had lost sight of the vision that God has given to us. We are going to be writting new material, going into the studio again and working on many of the aspects of the business side of the band including hiring a promoter and a manager. We are targeting next April as the time we will be playing shows again. We ask that you keep us in your prayers as we are focusing our attention on our personal relationships with Christ as well as ensuring the longevity of the bands future. In addition, we are spending more time on family needs that have been sacrificed for the band over the last 2 years. We are still going to be in contact with everyone and we want to stay in touch with each and everyone one of you. If you have any needs or prayer requests, we want to know about them. Obviously we can't do this without God but we can't do this without you either. All of our fans are very important to us and although we may not be able to keep in touch with each and every one of you in the future, we can at this point and want to. We are still making the Demo available to anyone who wants one and you will hear new music on our myspace page from time to time so stay tuned. Also make sure you check out our personal journals. We will be posting from our hearts and hope that you will find encouragement in something that we say. We are still looking for a bass player and we are not partial to male or female so, if you are a female and are interested, please contact us. We would love to talk with you. Until then......God bless each and every one of you.
